Lacey Cohen is a student, writer, editor, music fanatic, hopeless romantic, avid Disney lover, and large proponent of the Oxford Comma. She graduated from the University of Michigan with a BA in English and a minor in gender and health. Lacey is currently based in Brooklyn with her two kittens, where she is a fiction MFA candidate at Long Island University, and currently works as the managing editor at Defunct Magazine.

Lacey loves connecting with individuals of nearly identical, as well as vastly different backgrounds from herself, and immersing herself in as many aspects of culture as she is able through books, music, movies, and definitely food. Born and raised in Metro Detroit, Lacey holds both the state of Michigan, and the University of Michigan incredibly close to her heart. In her free time, Lacey likes to play guitar, spend time with family and friends, create playlists, and binge-watch every 30-minute cartoon that is offered on Netflix or Hulu.
